Pop world prays for the people affected by todays natural disaster...
The pop world has reacted to this morning's devastating tsunami in Japan by sending messages of hope and prayer through their Twitter pages.Katy Perry posted a message of hope with the words: "My prayers go out to anyone that is being effected by the disaster in Japan... "
Black Eyed Peas man Will.i.am was one of the first to react, saying simply: "Pray for Japan" later adding that he is struggling to sleep with worry.
Taylor Swift the followed, Tweeting: "I'm sending my thoughts and prayers and love to those in Japan who are hurting.." Swift toured Japan earlier this year and has a big Asian fan base.
Hayley from Paramore turned to God in Tweeting: "Praying so hard for Japan right now. And also for Hawaii". She was joined in prayer by Nicole Scherzinger who said, "My heart goes out to all those affected by the earthquake and subsequent tsunamis. Pls keep Japan in ur prayers. God bless and be with them."
Jason Derulo echoed many by saying: Our thoughts & prayers should b directed 2 the ppl of #Japan.. My heart is with you.. whilst Kim Kardashian said: "Just heard about the huge earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My prayers are with everyone in Japan!"
Even X Factor twins Jedward dropped the crazy for a moment of kindness, saying: "Our hearts go out to #prayforjapan we love you guys peace out John and Edward."
Paloma Faith was less gentle, coming off a little dim when she sent this message out into the world: "Shit! Earthquake in japan! So awful. The world is angry. Whatever next. Poor people."
